Community Guidelines
Simple rules that keep this a place every Big Red is glad to visit.

The spirit of the site
This is a community of classmates. We reconnect, we remember, we help, we support, and we serve. Everything published here should make a classmate — or a classmate’s family — feel respected.
Everything is reviewed before it's published
Every submission — memorials, memories, job and Exchange listings, cause nominations, and business listings — is reviewed by class volunteers before it appears on the site. Nothing posts automatically. Review usually takes a few days; volunteers may contact you to confirm details.
Memorial content
- Memorials should be respectful, accurate, and written or approved by people close to the person remembered.
- We publish: a photo, full name, name used during high school, year of passing, a short remembrance, and a link to a published obituary or memorial page.
- We never publish cause of death.
- If something is wrong, use Report a Correction — corrections are treated with priority.
Listings (Jobs and the Big Red Exchange)
- Listings must be truthful and posted in good faith by members of the class community.
- The Exchange processes no payments, guarantees nothing, and acts as no one’s broker or mediator — all arrangements are strictly between classmates.
- Prohibited on the Exchange: weapons, illegal goods, controlled substances, prescription medications, alcohol sales, counterfeit goods, fraudulent financial opportunities, unsafe items, adult products, and anything else prohibited by law.
- General location only; never post a home address — yours or anyone else’s.
- Job listings expire after 45 days and Exchange listings after 30 days by default.
What gets declined
Volunteers will decline (or remove) content that is:
- Disrespectful, harassing, or mean-spirited
- Political campaigning or commercial spam unrelated to the class community
- False, misleading, or unverifiable where accuracy matters (especially memorials)
- A privacy problem — someone else’s contact info, address, or personal details shared without consent
- Anything on the Exchange prohibited-items list
Consent and privacy
By submitting content you confirm you have the right to share it — including photos — and you consent to volunteer review and possible publication. Personal contact details are never published without explicit consent. See the privacy policy.
Disagreements
Moderation calls are made by volunteers doing their best for the whole class. If you disagree with a decision, contact the committee — a second volunteer will take a look.
